In preparation for Earth Day, Non-Toxic Kids is embarking on an Earth Day series of posts for the rest of April. There will be some giveaways (go, readers!) and some guest posts, and some information about celebrating and preserving our one and only planet Earth.
To start off, I received the brand new The Magic School Bus and the Climate Challenge by Joanna Cole and Bruce Degen. My kids are gaga for Ms. Frizzle. I’ve got lots of Magic School Bus books on various topic floating around my house and classroom. They are great for introducing concepts to my fifth and sixth grade students, and my now 3 and 5 year olds love them too.
Now Ms. Frizzle and the kids have taken on climate change. Of course, there is loads of fun, silly kid comments, and serious scientific information (that is what I love). It comes in the forms of reports, lessons from Ms. Frizzle, and colorful and lively diagrams.
